Welcome
The Arizona Mining, Mineral and Natural Resources Education Museum
The new Arizona Mining, Mineral and Natural Resources Education (AMMNRE) Museum* will connect people to the science and stories of Arizona's natural resources and foster a deeper understanding of our relationship with nature, resource management, and the industries upon which we rely for minerals, food, water and materials.
The museum will attract visitors with world-class exhibits, programs and special events. It will engage visitors in real-world natural resource scenarios that challenge them to contribute to new and innovative approaches. Through compelling, fun and repeatable experiences, the museum will help build awareness and natural resource literacy, and visitors will come to see that each person has a role to play in resource management and creating a resource secure, bright future.
*The museum is in the development and renovation stage and is not currently open.

The Mineral Collection
The AMMNRE mineral collection, formerly the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum collection, is comprised of over 20,000 rocks, minerals, and mining artifacts from Arizona and around the world.
